"WEST FRANKFORT -- Two West Frankfort men think the television show 'American Chopper' has been a boon to the custom motorcycle industry and, if they have their way, Steelhorse Choppers of Franklin County may soon be as well known as its Orange County counterpart on the Discovery Channel's popular show.

David Batts and Terry Brooks of West Frankfort met when Batts was doing some custom lettering for Brooks' musical entertainment business. The men discovered they had a mutual love of motorcycles and bought some used bikes together at a local dealer."
